Alessi has been long established in Italy and is famous for metalworking. In 1988, Alessi aqcuired the oldest original company in the Strona valley in the Piedmont area of northern Italy: Battista Piazza 1865. The Twergi wood collection began in 1989.

This works well for what I needed – a simple background for my kids’ online school. It’s lightweight and very easy to put together, and it stands up fine without needing to mount anything. The color is listed as black, but it’s more of a dark gray in person. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of.
