My dog is a mix of a Husky and a Pit Bull. She needs to chew toys, but they usually don't last long. This one seems to be an exception. She took to it right away, and it's still in one piece pi. I have bought two of these for my granddaughters three dogs and they love them! In fact, I only bought one to see if they would, and all 3 played with it! One is a 5 year old pit mix, one is a 9 mo. lab mix, and ine is a 10 year old shepherd mix! Miss Lab goes through toys like melting ice, so they reall have to be well made.
