These bottom brackets have six notches around the outside of each cup. The handle of the BBT 4 is vinyl coated for comfort.

Nice socks. They are thin and light weight so they are ideal to wear with snug fitting shoes. They have a nice cable style design to dress them up. I have been wearing a pair all day, and they do not dig into my legs at all. Love that. I have not washed them, but I see no reason why they would not wash up well in cold water and a low dry temperature. The price is great so give them a try.
