The inside brim is size stamped "EF62", along with the lot number of "21549", denoting production by the Emaillierwerke A. G., Fulda factory. Following combat use, it underwent a wartime refurbishment, where the helmet was painted inside and out in a textured feldgrau finish, slightly covering its original Heer decal in the process.
